Panel Mounted Units (Normally IFR certified)

IFR Certified Units means they can be used for navigation in the IFR environment. Their database contains all the waypoints necessary to fly point-to-point. Airports, VORs, NDBs, Intersections and IFR procedures such as SIDs, STARs and all the waypoints for GPS approaches. Furthermore, if the receiver is WAAS enabled, the approaches can normally be flown to lower minimums and the receiver may be used as the primary means of navigation. ZD Publishing's manuals are referred to as "Pilot-friendly" because they lead you step-by-step through each procedure, from start to finish. 

The IFR Certified Units allow point-to-point navigation from airport to airport. The internal database includes all SID's, STAR's, Instrument Approaches, Intersections, Airports and Waypoints. All the waypoints from Initial Approach Fix through the Missed Approach Waypoint for GPS approaches are included. Waypoints for the missed approach procedure are also included. The WAAS - Certified units allow them to be used as the sole means of navigation. They also provide a glide path which is derived entirely from the GPS.
